Iowa Consumers Win at Iowa and Iowa State Football Game
Iowa Consumers Win at Iowa and Iowa State Football

No matter what team you were cheering for at the Iowa and Iowa State Football Game, Iowa consumers were treated to free t-shirts, free corn ethanol, and a chance to win a new 2009 Chevy Silverado as part of the Iowa Corn GameDay promotion.

This is the first year for the multi-year, multi-sport promotion and Iowa Corn is excited to be a hosting the GameDay partnership that includes Iowa and Iowa State football, basketball, and wrestling seasons through Cyclone and Hawkeye Sports Properties. Part of the promotion includes a drawing for weekly prize winners, 2 prizes of ethanol for a year, and the grand prize of a new victory red Chevy Silverado.

On GameDay, nearly 80 local FFA groups volunteered to help hand out flags, sign people up for prizes, and hand out ethanol certificates. In all, eleven chapters were chosen to help during the promotion.

The entire promotion includes radio, television, internet, and on-site marketing. The campaign highlights the many uses for corn and its importance to Iowa- as everyday is GameDay for Iowa’s farmers.
